Are you scared of jazz? If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard someone say ‘I don’t get jazz’, I’d be a very wealthy woman. But what is ‘jazz’ and what is there to ‘get’? The term ‘jazz’ is as broad as the genre, and as music genres go, this is one of the broadest. For me, the answer is simple. Keep your ears open, and listen to everything.
